Day 1
Drive about 35 minutes to Bako Village. Bako National Park is the oldest National
Park in Sarawak.
From the village, take about a 25-minute boat ride (depending on the tide) to
the park situated
in a peninsula. Bako takes its name from the mangrove forest which surrounds
the coastal region of Sarawak. Bako is one of the best places in Sarawak to
see wildlife in a natural surrounding. Check in at the park chalets. There will
be hiking through jungle trails, sunsets, and swimming in the sea by
secluded beaches. Overnight at the park chalets. (Lunch and Dinner included)

The various types of animals that
are commonly spotted at Bako include the proboscis monkeys, silver leaf monkeys,
long tail macaques, wild boars, monitor lizards, and numerous species of
birds. Tropical rainforest ranges from mangrove to kerangas (heath forest),
tropical swamp vegetation, cliff vegetation and beach vegetation. There are
several trails inside the park depending on level of fitness and interest. There
is a possibility to swim in the warm waters of the South China Sea by one of
the secluded beaches.

Day 2
Following breakfast, hike on one of the many trails or revisit one of
your favorite trails from the previous day for a more detailed exploration.
Return to Kuching by early afternoon. (Schedule may depend on tide.) (Breakfast and
Lunch included)
