Batang Ai National Park

Depart Batang Ai Resort with your guide by longboat in the early morning, and ride across Batang Ai Lake. You may have the opportunity to stop to have a look at one of the fish farms which are occasionally located on the edge of the lake, where the local people are farming a local fresh water fish - the red Telapia.
You may learn from your guide tips on how to survive in the jungle. Also learn to identify the edible ferns, fruits and vegetation available in jungle. The park is home to wild Orang-utans and gibbons, hornbills and other great birds. Some of these animals may be seen, although they are not easily encountered in this area. Picnic lunch en route with an opportunity to swim in the refreshing waters of the river.

You will then be picked up by the longboat at the end of the trail and continue down river to visit the Delok Longhouse - one of the traditional Iban longhouses to be found in the area. (Note that this tour previously visited Tibu Longhouse. Unfortunately, there is no one living at Tibu any longer)
Retrace your journey back
to Batang Ai Resort. You will reach the resort in the late afternoon. (Lunch included)
