The Resort has its own water treatment plant, which supplies all guest rooms with clean and safe water. Every room enjoys a spacious verandah, which offers guests a stunning view of either the rich surrounding jungle or the Melinau River.

Children are well catered for in the resort with special activities, including a monkey tour through the local forest. From the resort, the caves are reached by longboat (Wind and Clearwater Caves) or timber boardwalk (Langs Cave and Deer Cave).

One of the best ways to appreciate Gunung Mulu National Park's diversity is by experiencing the Canopy Walk. It is said to be the longest tree-to-tree skywalk in the world at 480 m. It links 15 trees together via pillared platforms, and is suspended approximately 30 m above the forest floor. The canopy walk provides a breathtaking view of the world's oldest rainforests and its inhabitants, and is easily accessible from the Royal Mulu Resort.
