On arrival at Sandakan Airport, you will be met and transferred to Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre for an audio visual presentation in the theatrette. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on timber boardwalks to witness the feeding of the orang-utans at 10.00hrs. You will have plenty of time to watch the orang-utans until they disappear back into the jungle. Return to Sandakan for lunch, and then head to the jetty for a boat excursion which takes you across Sandakan Bay into the mouth of the Kinabatangan River. This brings you to the pristine mangrove forests along the Kinabatangan River delta where you will find proboscis monkeys, birds and reptiles. Giant mudskippers can be found at the riverbank.

Return to Sandakan in the early evening, and transfer to your accommodation. (Lunch included)
