Shangrila's Tanjung Aru Resort

is located to the South-West of the city area of KK on the shores of the South China Sea. It is arguably one of the best hotel complexes on the West Coast of Sabah and is within easy reach of the centre of the city and closer than any other hotel to the airport. 
 
 
  The Tanjung wing of the resort has recently been refurbished. Local timber, rattan and bamboo have been used to enhance the tropical ambience of the rooms. All rooms have a balcony, many with views over the ocean. It takes as little as 10 minutes to reach the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park from the Resort. 

Each of the 495 rooms in the resort are blessed with its own charm and originality boasting splendid views of the neighbouring islands, spectacular sunsets and the mountains. All guestrooms are equipped with a wide range of modern and deluxe amenities which include complimentary High Speed Internet Access. Luxury with a local Borneo touch are the themes of the rooms providing guests a high level of comfort and relaxation.

Please note that the swimming pools at Tanjung Aru Resort will be closed for reconstruction from September through to February 2011. During that time, discounted rates will apply, however, there will be no pool available at the resort.
