Meet on arrival at Balikpapan's Sepinggan airport and transfer to Loa Janan on the lower Mahakan River near Samarinda, where you will board a house boat for your exciting trip on the Mahakam River. Full board while on the boat.
 

Day 2 MUARA MUNTAI - MANCONG - MAHAKAM 

After breakfast on the boat, make a stop at Muara Muntai, a town of the Kutai people, to observe life in the village where the streets and footpaths are made entirely from hardwood planks. The trip then continues by motorised canoe over Jempang Lake, past the Ohong River with its beautiful views, then along the river to Mancong. On arrival, a welcome ceremony will be performed for you by the Benuaq Dayak tribe in front of their longhouse. 

Return to the house boat to cruise back down the river to Tenggarong on the lower Mahakam River.
 

Day 3 TENGGARONG - LOA JANAN - BALIKPAPAN

Breakfast on the boat before visiting the local market, royal cemetery, and the Museum of Kutai Kertanegara and the remains of the Sultans Palace. Afterwards you will return to the boat and head further down the river to Loa Janan. After lunch, transfer to Balikpapan where you will spend the night. Lunch on boat, dinner at hotel.
 

Day 4 HOTEL - AIRPORT

Breakfast at hotel, and morning at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your next destination.
