This is a popular tour which allows you to spend the day getting to know highlights of the Brunei's capital city. Note that due to flight schedules, this tour does not run on Fridays.

Depart Kota Kinabalu at 08.45 hrs and fly to Bandar Seri Begawan, on a Royal Brunei flight, arriving at 09.25 hrs. (Note: on Wednesdays the first flight out of KK does not arrive in Bandar Seri Begawan until 1025 hrs. The itinerary for Wednesday will be shortened, and the price adjusted at time of booking)

You will be met at the airport on arrival, and proceed to visit the Brunei Museum  with its impressive Bornean collection and the local Malay martial culture and the Islamic influence. Call in at the impressive Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, an Islamic architectural gem  (closed all day Thursday and until 16.30 hrs Friday), as well as the Palaces of both the current and previous Sultans; The Royal Regalia Centre, housing the royal ceremonial costumes gives an insight to the wealth of this oil rich and ancient sultanate.

Kampong Ayer - Bandar Seri Begawan

Lunch is included at the Royal Brunei Yacht Club, and a visit to the Tamu (market) and the  water village, where more than thirty thousand people live on their ancestral sites. This water village has all the modern amenities, including schools, clinics, police station and a fire brigade. You will be given afternoon tea with local cakes at a house in the water village.  (the tour includes lunch, bottled water and afternoon tea) 

Transfer to the airport for the return flight with Royal Brunei, departing at 1925 hrs hrs, and arriving in KK at 20.05 hrs. (Tuesdays depart 2035 hrs and arrive KK 2115 hrs) You will be met at the airport in KK and transferred to your hotel.
