This comprehensive tour will immerse you in the history and culture of Brunei. The combination of venues and the guide’s information provides a unique understanding of the traditional and modem Brunei.

Brunei is a nation without equal. A small country governed by the longest serving family monarchy in the world and financially secure with its oil and gas resources. This independence helps guarantee lifestyle choices and a benevolent provision of services, education and housing.

With Malay traditions, Islamic religion and an international perspective, Brunei is a unique cultural blend; aptly named the Abode of Peace.

Despite a rapid launch into modern technologies and consumer-based commerce, Brunei has chosen to preserve its traditional lifestyles. The water village still accommodates 20% of the capital’s residents and boats still provide personal and commercial transport needs.

Lunch at the Royal Brunei Yacht Club has the option of indoor (air-conditioned) or outdoor dining, beside the Brunei River (BYO).

The tour begiins at 0900 hrs. You will visit the Brunei Museum  with its impressive Bornean collection and the local Malay martial culture and the Islamic influence. Call in at the impressive Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, an Islamic architectural gem  (closed all day Thursday and until 16.30 hrs Friday), as well as photo stops at the Palaces of both the current and previous Sultans; The Royal Regalia Centre, housing the royal ceremonial costumes gives an insight to the wealth of this oil rich and ancient sultanate. Lunch is included at the Royal Brunei Yacht Club, and
Visit Kampong Ayr Water Village Kampong Ayr Water Village
a visit to the Tamu (market) and the  water village, where more than thirty thousand people live on their ancestral sites. This water village has all the modern amenities, including schools, clinics, police station and a fire brigade. You will also be served afternoon tea with local cakes at a house in the water village.  A short visit will also be made to the Arts and Handicrafts Centre (closed on public holidays).

The tour concludes at 1615 hrs (Lunch, bottled water and afternoon tea is included)
