Damai is located approximately 35 km by road from Kuching. Its history is rich with tales of wealthy merchants, romantic adventurers, explorers and pirates. Today it offers travellers a secluded idyllic setting on the shores of the South China Sea, surrounded by the rainforest clad slopes of Mount Santubong.

The Holiday Inn Damai Beach Resort is set on 35 ha and enjoys a delightful hillside setting framed by lush rainforest and Teluk Bandung Beach, on the shores of the South China Sea. It offers a wide variety of accommodation with many units based on traditional Borneo architecture. The large area, numerous chalets and many activities offered, mean that there is plenty to see and do in the resort itself. It boasts two  swimming pools and a childrens' pool.

Damai Beach Resort Beachfront

Damai Beach resort offers 302 spacious rooms and suites with standard balcony and superior rooms plus chalets at the Beach. The Hilltop Wing features individual Baruk and Malay suites and 2 storey Longhouse-styled deluxe rooms. All rooms are air conditioned. The rooms allow accommodation for up to four people (two adults and two children) in a super king size bed, or two double  beds, however, it is possible to obtain extra bedding (at a surcharge). Room sizes are 28 sq m. for chalet room, 35 sq m. for standard balcony room, and 43 sq m. for standard poolside  rooms.

There are a number of restaurants and bars to cater to all tastes, as well as "Deli's Corner" which offers fresh breads, cakes and beverages to take away.

The resort has well equipped function/meeting rooms to to cater for conventions, seminars, business meetings, banquets and theme parties of up to 240 people..

Holiday Inn Damai Lagoon Resort is a 10 ha beach side resort set in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens at the foot of Mount Santubong, completely encircled by the South China Sea and the Borneo Rainforest. The resort features an imposing ethnically designed reception area and one of the largest lagoon swimming pools in Malaysia.

Main Accommodation Block & Pool - Damai Lagoon

Damai Lagoon Resort offers 256 rooms and suites in a  4 storey building, and beach side chalets. All rooms are air conditioned. The rooms allow accommodation for two people in a king size bed, or two single beds, however, it is possible to obtain extra bedding (at a surcharge). Room sizes are 29 sq m. for both the Superior and Deluxe rooms.

There are a number of restaurants and bars to cater to all tastes, as well as "Deli's Corner" which offers fresh breads, pastries and cakes to take away.

There are daily shuttle services available from both Damai Lagoon and Damai Beach Resorts to Kuching and back. Sarawak Cultural Village is located only minutes from either resort.

Both resorts are located only 5 minutes from the Damai Golf and Country Club. Both resorts provide complimentary transfers to the golf course.
